Description
The Hopper Dry Fly is a grasshopper imitation, one of the most productive terrestrials during the warm months. Hand-tied in Italy, it comes in sets of 3 bulky, highly visible flies.
Between spring and summer, when terrestrial insects end up in the water carried by the wind, trout develop a real preference for grasshoppers: the Hopper exploits exactly this feeding habit. The generous silhouette floats well even in current and often triggers aggressive takes.
Available in hook sizes from #6 to #10, it’s perfect as an attractor and searching pattern, also paired with a nymph in the dry-dropper technique.
Strengths:
• Grasshopper imitation (terrestrial)
• Ideal between spring and summer
• Excellent floatation in current
• Hooks #6-#10, Made in Italy
Try the Hopper Dry Fly on warm, windy days: trout can’t resist.
