Description

The CDC Emerger imitates the mayfly at the most vulnerable moment of its life: the hatch, when the insect is suspended in the water’s surface film halfway between nymph and adult. Hand-tied in Italy, it comes in sets of 3 flies.

The sinking body stays submerged in the surface film reproducing the typical position of the emerger, while the CDC tuft guarantees proper floatation and signals the fly to the angler. It’s precisely during the hatch that trout and grayling feed most confidently, making this imitation often deadly.

Available in hook sizes from #12 to #20, it covers most mayflies.
