Description
The trolling feather is the quintessential lure for coastal trolling, used by anglers for generations. Its slender, almost translucent appearance makes it highly effective against all species that prefer to feed in the upper water column, where it convincingly mimics the swimming action of a small baitfish or forage fish.
Each feather comes complete with leader and hook, ready to use. Pack of 2 pieces.
Target species
The 5 cm sizes are ideal for smaller predators such as saddled seabream, horse mackerel, pompano and occasionally small seabass. With 10 cm you can target larger pelagics such as bonito, dorado and other sizeable predators.
How to troll the feather
To bring out its attractive qualities, the feather should be trolled at reduced speeds, between 1.5 and 3 knots, positioning the lure outside the wake of the engines at least 30 metres from the stern. Rigging should be done with soft monofilament of limited diameter (0.20–0.25 mm) and long leaders free from any added weight.
